I agree with many of the statements made here - there aren't a ton of girls and the wild party scene on campus is non-existent - but i disagree that it's no fun and i strongly disagree that the education is sub-par. There are things happening on campus, but there are a good number of students who like to sit around complaining about how bored they are rather than poking their head out of their room to see what's happening. There are tons of athletic events and I've been pretty involved with a couple of organizations that have allowed me to meet people. It is a bit clique-ish, as someone else mentioned, with groups like the sports teams and PGM majors really sticking together. I think the city is a bit underrated on this board. Fayetteville has a lot to offer, but you've got to find it. I'm a sports fan, so Guard and FireAntz games are a lot of fun, and there are too many restaraunts to name. It beats the heck out of some of the small town schools that I visited when I was looking at schools - have you ever been in Buies Creek, NC?It's interesting to me that the Math major (who apparently scored a 1530 on her SAT) is so disappointed with her experience, yet writes as poorly as she does. I feel like I've been pretty well challenged/prepared in my business classes, and most of my gen ed courses have been about what I expected. Some hard, some not so much, and certain profs are better than others. I've done 2 internships (I'm a PGM student) and there hasn't been a thing that I haven't been prepared for, so something is working. I would echo the sentiments on the cafeteria food - it leaves something to be desired, but I've never eaten really good cafeteria food.In conclusion, I would say that Methodist is the right place for you if you're looking for a good, small school in a decent city, Methodist could be a great place for you. Give it a look, though, because it's not right for everyone.
