Hi, i was wondering how you felt about the international relations / social sciences at uh-manoa.. i am considering applying there for graduate school and wanted your opinion. |
I was considering UH for Geology. Would you consider it a good place to go for it? |
Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
I'm an out-of-state student, and pleasantly surprised by the quality of academia here. Don't let the (mass amount of) fools looking for a party discourage you, UH is a premiere facility in an excellent setting.
Just like any school, each has their own esteemed degree programs. MIT has esteemed Information and Computer Science programs, Yale has their Social Sciences, Harvard - Law, and the University of Hawaii - Marine Biology/Biology, and Astronomy.
I could go on about the facilities available in each area, but their are also amazing programs in the Second Languages, Botany, and International Business.
All in all, many people don't know what to expect at UH, and some return upset and robbed. Remember to research your choices concerning your studies, (i.e. I wouldn't head to UH to study Geography).
Know your stuff, and don't be fooled by the foolish, flocking to find the party, just do your homework.
P.S. Here is an honest, unbiased review from a professional perspective:
P.P.S. I headed to UH for Marine Biology
