Try challenging yourself and attending a public college - all the while practicing your Christian faith. You'll have a much stronger foundation for your faith than if you attend a mind-numbing college like BJU. At a public, non-christian college, you will find other christians practicing their faith BECAUSE THEY WANT TO, not because they are forced to. Instead of finding multitudes of "christian" students whose main goal is finding away around the rules, at a public college you'll find christian students who are eager to follow god's word and live honest lives. Anybody can act like a christian when the rules demand it, but only true christians know how to act when rules don't demand it!

Amen and amen. I found much more true Christianity at a state public university than I ever found at BJU!!
responseIf you think it's sooo bad then why do you stay?? You show your stupidity at staying at a place you hate. No one is forcing you to be there.
commentI didn't - I got out as soon as possible. When I was in high school, I didn't have a choice. But your response in unfair. A lot of the students at BJU are threatened with financial instability from their parents if they leave. There's an incredible amount of pressure to stay by both the administration and many parents. They use their brand of extremely conservative religion and emotionally "rape" people to stay.
commentAmen! I totally agree with you. I am one of the ones who is being forced to go to BJU. I literally have no other choice…and it's not because my parents forcing me…it's other people *cough cough* BJ people. I don't see how they're allowed to have so much control over someone's life. It's ridiculous.
Most people I know, myself included would not have been able to withstand the anti-Christian atmosphere at 17 at a secular school. With your statement about extremely conservative religion, it sounds like the secular school had its intended effect on you. God is pretty conservative Himself but don't take my word for it, He gave us His word.
responseAny school SHOULD challenge your faith - regardless of how bad it is. But I agree many Christian schools are forced and many students leave them before graduation (50% or more). But public or nonChristian universities have a different problem - namely, you won't find anything Christian on campus and might not even meet another believer or even anyone who mentions God period.
