Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
This school sucks you in through the admissions department. They do everything that they can to allow students to come their first year. After they have your first year's (or semester's) tuition, they do not care for you at all. The low admissions standards allow almost anyone to get in, but the rigorous coursework forces anyone out that cannot handle the load. Most of the people that I have talked with said that they would go elsewhere if they did not have such great friends here. There are some really great professors that care about the students, but there are also some professors that do not care about the students at all.Plan to fail at least one or two classes while here. Unless you are a genius student that studies all of the time, you will fail a class at this school. I only know 5 people that graduated without retaking a course. Some courses are taken by students 3 times before they receive a passing grade.Unless you are in engineering, business, flight, or education, do not expect the school to serve your academic needs. If you are majoring in something besides those four subjects, I would advise you to go elsewhere…anywhere else. Also, the male to female ratio is about 5.5:1, so there are a lot of lonely male technical types on campus that do not have the social skills to approach a lady. As they say ladies, "The odds are good, but the goods are odd."
