First off, this comment is mostly a reply to all of those people posting a negative comment and simply bashing my school. I'd like to point out the fact that many of these kids are freshmen or sophomores who came here apparently expecting something else. Also, I couldn't help but notice the ammount of grammatical errors in all of their comments, so before you say negative things about the education, proofread so you don't look like a jackass. Anyways, this school is great in my opinion. The sense of school spirit is extremely contagious and everyone is truly
proud to be a mountaineer.
Those who said that the school does nothing to reach out to the students etc, I say this; not everything is going to be served on a silver plate for you, contrary to what you may believe or what you're used to. If you apply yourself and put in the effort, you can do anything you want; but don't expect the university to do everything for you if you're not willing to meet them at least half way. Many people commented that the town is depressing and ugly. Well yes, in the winter months, every northern town or city is dreary and depressing. However, in the fall and spring time, and the two summers I have spent there, the town is beautiful. Our mascot is the Mountaineer, so obviously there are going to be mountains and hills, but the overall scenery and atmosphere is great. Yes, it is a party school, but what colleges aren't other than ivy league and Brigham Young. Life is full of distractions and if you can't get past the partying distraction here, what are you going to do in the real world. In my opinion, it is a true test to your self-discipline to graduate from WVU.

My overall advice: if you're a book worm in high school and would rather sit at home on a saturday night playing magic the gathering, do not come here. If you are a fun loving person and looking for the college expierence that only WVU can offer, send your application in right now. I could go on forever, but I think you all get my point.

LETS GOOOOO MOUNTAINEERS!!!
