This place just plain sucks. There is very little, if any, night life, and the funny thing is that most students are fine with this. Academics are pretty average, although teachers are great. I personally expected to be challenged more than in high school, but I actually have an easier time scraping by here (e.g. I got two C's in classes at which I attended 5% of lecture). However, academically you could do a lot worse, and I think that most of the population is pleased with this aspect. On the other hand, as an open-minded, friendly person I'm disappointed by the attitude of the student body. Qualities valued here are difficult to nail down, but being outgoing is not one of them. And the dearth of community events and nightlife makes meeting people next to impossible unless you really try at it. And people have few interests, which makes for awkward conversations (the well runs dry quickly). I'd describe the student body as standoffish for no particular reason (not too many brainiacs here), if not just plain anti-social.Go elsewhere. Contrary to my above opinions, I'm enjoying myself here, but I know I could be doing much better. In essence you get the bad aspects of the top-notch schools (namely, stuck-up students) without the usual accompanying benefits (like if they had a reason to be stuck-up, such as intellect).Oh, and for the guys who think "oh, it's 70% chicks!" The statistics are far more attractive than the women here. I'd say about 5-15% of the girls here fall under the "cute" to "damn" category—the odds aren't as on your side as you'd expect.
