Major: History/Histories (art history/etc.) (This Major's Salary over time)
The first thing that I have to say is that this is really two different schools. There is the on campus school and the commuter school. The commuter school lives off campus and has very little influence on the on campus life. With only about 3500 students living on campus you would imagine that campus would be dead. That is very, VERY wrong! If you live in a dorm you may go out on campus looking for something to do and not find anything, you may say There is a simple explanation. Its all inside! There's always talent shows where the staff embarrass themselves or movies being shown in the theater or lectures given by random people on topics that may strike your fancy. There's always something to do if you look for it. Next, all of the rumors that have been spread about how unsafe campus is is all a bunch of BULL! contrary to popular belief U of L is not in the Ghetto. I don't know what the inflation rates are these days but I don't think a 500,000 dollar house would be considered a ghetto house. U of L is in the middle of Old Louisville and is surrounded by these houses. And even if it was so is USC and last i checked its still one of the best colleges around. As for classes, I wont lie, if its not a class that's required for your major, it might be a little easier than expected. If your a history major then, sorry Einstein, math and quantum physics aren't gonna be to high on your list of challenging classes to take. The classes within a specific major tend to be a bit harder than your average bs class. Finally, this school WILL NOT spoon feed you. If you need help the resources are there you just need to go to them. Get involved, ask questions, most people (at least those of us living and working on campus) will be glad to talk to you and help you. the people are friendly you just have be willing to ask.
