If you are planning to attend UT anytime soon I HIGHLY suggest you take a look at the returning freshman percentage (It's available on college board) It's one of the worst I've seen. Here are some reasons I have been a part of the huge fraction that won't return to UT in the fall:

In high school I didn't get the best grades and I've never really been a "book worm" but I'm an intelligent individuals, and I assumed the people at UT would be the same. WRONG! my first day of class this girl (with fake blonde hair, a fake chanel bag, eye shadow with sparkles in it, and of course a belly button ring with a playboy bunny dangleing over her mini skirt) asked what the difference between "to" and "too" was. Let's just say I'm not sure how these people even figured out how to write their name on the SATS nevermind pass the test.

People are "rich" and "snobby". At least that's what they want you to think. SOO much fake designer sunglasses and handbags and hair extensions it's disgusting. They AREN'T even wealthy thought wich makes it hilarious.

two words: JERSEY SHORE. I'm sure if most of you are looking for schools you've seen the "my new haircut" youtube video. Let's just say the guys at UT would be thrilled if you said they reminded you of that guy. Spikey hair, fake diamond earing, perfectly waxed eyebrows, and OBNOXIOUS accent. But hey, I guess the playboy bunny tattooed shore-girls like that.

Also, don't pay attention to the location of the school. Looking to meet people from all over the country? My roommate was from LESS THAN 2 MILES AWAY FROM ME IN THE TOWN NEXT DOOR—no we didn't request that. Most people are from NY, MA, RI, NJ… tell me if you meet anyone fomr anywhere else, I didn't. The city itself really has not much to offer. I wanted to go to a school that had a city close by for oppertunities that came with it. The city of tampa is basically 6 Buildings. That's it. YBOR's fun for the first few weekends, then you realize it's all old local guys. No drinking in Bars or clubs underage either. They are sooooo strict about ID's I've only seen a few work.

If you've already committed to Tampa… I'm sorry. If you haven't committed and you're still deciding—DON'T DO IT. The weather is SO not worth it.
