Major: Meteorology (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduates over ten yrs ago - but visited frequently. The dept I was in (atmospheric science) was small and filled with absolutely top-notch people - students, faculty, researchers, etc. Some of the smartest people I've known and worked with were here. Graduate school, at two top-tier privates, was a breeze. The negatives—the campus isn't a beauty, but it seems to be getting better. The social life is way to NY focused - so I recommend branching out and making friends off campus - Albany is a great college town. I played on intramural squads at other schools. Also - some of the classes ran grades against busy work (e.g., brain-dead homework assignments), so watch out for that.Advice - find a major and take it seriously. Most of the departments are top notch, and the faculty are very accessible for students who are genuinely interested.
