Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I liked UM. I started in Accounting in the School of Business and found it too difficult so I switched to Finance and switched to Marketing for the same reason. There is always something to do in Miami: the Grove, South Beach, downtown, the Keys, music festivals throughout the year, and Halloween activities. There is always something going on in the area. Internships are available since UM is in a big city. The students can be focused on image, but when I got to know people through group projects, I found many students had viable ideas to start their own companies and some already did. Most students here really are motivated, but do restrict academia to the classroom or when doing schoolwork. The administration is very responsive to students concerns and professors are helpful during office hours. Also, the school will open spaces in classes during registration to keep students from being locked out, if you register for classes earlier rather than later.
