Gardner-Webb is a Baptist Christian environment, but it is supportive of other lifestyles. You don't have to be baptist to go here, but most people do come here because it's Christian. While we're not conservative, we're not completely liberal either as a place at UNC-Chapel Hill would be. It's your choice to come here, I chose to come here because I felt that this is where God was leading me to be. You don't have religion shoved down your throat everywhere you go, that is an extreme exaggeration. While it is present, it is not forced onto you, except for Dimensions, which is a required course you have to take 6 semesters of (its only .5 credit). The students are friendly and you can always find someone to talk with. The professors will bend over backwards to help you out. And while G-W is in a small, one stop-light town, you find things to do with your friends that make college that much better. It's not all about partying here, so if that's what you're looking for I would suggest you look for another school, because that's not the environment here. Although there is some partying, the vast majority don't partake, and thats okay; it's your decision.
