VUPD is CONTROLLING! They accused a student of being drunk at 3 pm, when he tripped over a pot hole in the road! After the Election of 2008, Somebody keyed my car (which had a McCain sticker on it) and VUPD didn't do anything. Caused about $400 in damage along one side. VU said they can't do anything about it. More like they WON'T do anything about it.

Sophomore year, my roommate and I had several inches of water come into our room one night through our roof and THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! When they FINALLY moved us (3 days later), we didn't have heat! Once again, they didn't do anything. We hired somebody from the community to fix it since VU wouldn't. It was 60 degrees in our room at the HIGH one day! I wasted too much money for that crap. There are children in Africa who are treated better!

Needless to say, make sure you do ALL your research first. The weather does suck at times, but what do you expect in Northern Indiana. Get some snowshoes, they don't plow the sidewalks. Some professors push their liberal agenda on you and they are all biased. Heads of departments don't care if you have a complaint against a teacher, they are getting their check at the end of the day.

I would NEVER recommend VU to ANYBODY, nor would I send my children there.
