Here's the thing about ACU. If you're wanting to go to a school and spend at least half your time doing religiously based activities, then it may work for you. I am a devout Christian, but the way ACU does things is a bit overblown. It's very political. I can best attribute it to one of those churches that looks from the outside to be very accepting, but in reality has an inordinate amount of ridiculous rules and guidelines. You really wouldn't get the full effect unless you actually attended. I honestly did student recruiting for this school for about a year, and I got a lot of people to come, but I left before graduating and won't be coming back. I'm not a big partier, and I don't get all that wild, but ACU was way too tame for me. And it breeds a mentality in it's students that's on par with a Disney channel show. That's a little too elementary for me in a college setting. If you're a person that went to a private christian high school it'll probably be ok, but if not i would definitely visit a few times and try to see how the day to day life really works. Out of everyone I lived with on my hall freshman year, there were 3 people that didn't transfer after a semester.

commentFirst I am sorry you had a bad experience. Looking from what you wrote, very clear the school failed to meet what you wanted AND EXPECTED. I have to share I feel you can be more gracious andf fair with your grading. I feel the school offers great employment on a long term scale, which is ahead of other schools and the opportnunities they fail to offer. I am sorry you are having a bad experience and leaving unhappily.
