I graduated from CCAD in the winter of 2007. The first year was grueling! The school definitely loads you up with an amount of assignments that are nearly impossible to complete. I thought this was great because it encouraged a strong work ethic and time management. It also weeded out a LOT of freshman who weren't serious about school. Unfortunately for majors such as graphic design you are required to take a TON of foundation courses that you might not feel are necessary for your degree.

As far as the Photography program is concerned I feel like there was a LOT of focus on commercial photo work and not as much encouragement in relation to personal growth through work. I would say that in my last two years there were three professors who REALLY made a difference in my work and in my life. Elizabeth Fergus-Jean, John Fergus-Jean and Duncan Snyder. Otherwise, a lot of the professors seemed bitter about having to teach or gave classes a lot of busy work.

I enjoyed my time at CCAD, the campus is EASY to navigate, MOST of the staff is friendly and they have good resources for students. I agree with a lot of the other statements on here: if you're looking for job placement you have to do the work on your own. Also, internships and co-ops pretty much do not exist at this school. Unless you spend a lot of time seeking them out on your own you probably won't get one. Co-ops and internships are INVALUABLE experiences that lead to students getting jobs after graduation. This was disapointing.
