Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
Walden UniversityWalden University is an excellent online institution. Top notch University; competes with top tier institutions.Walden University is an excellent online institution. The classes are very writing intensive (around 30 pages every 6 weeks, if not more) and relevant to rigorous academic work. The class discussions and projects are also directly relevant to the career choices of the students based upon their majors, as well as, difficult courses which complete general education and competency requirements the same as any top tier on campus, traditional brick and mortar school.Communications 1000-30, and Communications 1001-28 are more challenging and student focused than many on campus Communications courses. The professors are very knowledgeable and respond quickly to the students. As always, some professors are more involved than others and some classes are more challenging than others, but as a top scoring honors student with experience in traditional Universities and 2 online institutions, I can tell you that Walden University is a top notch education. The Psychology as a Natural Science course, PSYC 1002-15 is extremely relevant to a Psychology major and is not easy by any means, from any college anywhere, hands down. The Walden Library is second to none, period, end of discussion. The amount of peer reviewed journals in their entirety along with, textbooks, manuals, encyclopedias, and helpful, prompt reference Librarians is absolutely quality one. I would stake this ecucation I am currently receiving against any Ivy League University, or so called top tier college anywhere in the US. I stand behind my words and I know no one can produce credible evidence that supports an assertion with any veracity that Walden University is sub-par by comparison to a top University according to US News.
