I came from Oklahoma not knowing a single person who went to UD and it was the best decision I ever made. I love it here and it was the perfect fit for me. Upperclassmen are super friendly and are very welcoming to freshman, especially if you are outgoing and make an effort to meet people. It is a lot different if you don't drink because drinking is a big part of how people show hospitality and how people develop community. I know a lot of people who don't drink at all and love it here but its definitely easier to make friends and meet a lot of people if you do.
