Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
Rutgers University- New Brunswick has always mentioned about the high diversity of students and so forth. Unfortunately, that is meaningless here. My experience at Rutgers has been nothing but miserable. Students are always in cliques, just like in high school, and are not open-minded of being friends with people of different races besides their own. The girls at this school are mostly snobbish, and think they are so high and mighty. For instance, I was trying to be friends with this Chinese girl who was in two of my classes from Fall 2009 semester. Automatically, I ended up being harshly rejected by her.
Academically, it is difficult to even get a 'D' in the science courses. The faculty does not even care about the students, just their research…
In addition, most of the bus drivers are really bad. Just as you are about to get into the bus, they close the doors very fast, leading to a possibility of having a serious injury.I don't recommend going to Rutgers unless if one of your parents works there, in which you would attend there on a free tuition. Personally, Rutgers is like a prison. If you can not form friendships with anybody, like me for instance, than it will be very difficult to deal with academic life here…
