I want to start out by saying Wentworth is not a terrible school. I was reading a lot of the reviews and was baffled by how negative people are. The facts are, Wentworth has really great job placement and reputation in the Boston area. If you want to make a lot of money out of college this is the place to go. WIT starting salaries are the same if not higher when compared to Northeastern and BU, but WIT is a fraction of the cost. Companies also look for Wentworth students, there are job fares and database of employers that look for high achieving WIT students.

The social life at Wentworth is pretty dismal. People go home on the weekends and the campus is very strict when it comes to alcohol/drug policies. If you are looking to party WIT is not the place to be. Parties are few and far between almost all of them are either at another school or up on the hill (Mission Hill). Some RA's can be controlling jerks, so watch out. Some will try to be buddy buddy, but will screw you over in a heart beat.

As for Academics, if you are extremely hardworking, but maybe not the brightest kid, you will do fine here. If you are bright then this place will seem like a breeze. The only real majors are Electromechanical Engineering and Architecture. Architects get hit hard their second year and Electromechanical really starts picking up your third year (its a five year program). The rest of the majors at this school are on the easier end. Don't get me wrong it seems like everyone ends up getting a job at the end of graduation.

Food is okay here. You can go to WIT's cafe or Mass Art, both are your typical cafeterias with angry of workers because most of the kids here treat them like crap.

The campus is really small, so walking anywhere is only five minutes. The Green line is located right next to all the dorms and the Orange line is a 6 minute walk from the dorms. The campus looks very similar to what it use to look like back in the day. Old buildings and that institute feel to it (similar to MIT). A lot of the buildings have been renovated so, most of the classrooms have a newish feel to them.

The freshman dorms are pretty terrible, but once you become an upperclassman the dorms get a lot nicer. Problem is once you are in your suite you are sort of stuck there and meeting people is hard.

Overall, If you are looking for a place that will challenge you and you want to get a job in the Boston/Massachusetts area come to WIT. If you are looking for state of the art research, big name college, and a fancy campus with lots to do, then do not come here.

I ended up transferring out my Sophomore year because I was looking for better research opportunities, I have a bunch of friends who love it here!

My name is Doug and I am a MCPHS student interested in buying a WIT parking pass. I would give you 50$ for your trouble. Thanks
commentI would like to add zipjob point that it also depends on every person individually as you left this place. Because you wanted to get some other good opportunities from a research point of view and personally I found it the best only because their research work is good as compared to others.
