UNCW has an awesome campus and Wilmington is pretty nice. It's nice that it's five miles from Wrightsville Beach, but that is mainly what people do here. In the winter, there is not much to do, except downtown or beach bars. There are parties but usually in a small house or apartment are crowded. The school mainly consists of surfers, long boarders, etc. but even if you don't do these, you can try or you can make friends with these people, but a lot of them stick mainly with their surfing buddies. There is not that much school spirit because everyone just likes to go to the beach. The beach is nice but if you want a real college experience then don't go here. Also, the out of state tuition is rediculously high and not worth it to go here. Your better off going to ECU and having a better time.
