Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
If you are a nursing major, then come to simmons. I found that a lot of the academic attention is given to nursing majors. I found a lot of my classes to be disengaging and uninteresting. Boston is a great city to be living in, because there is a lot going on, but the Simmons campus can be dead sometimes. You really have to go off campus for fun things to do. Simmons also lacks school spirit, so if there are any sports events, I never know about them. They aren't announced anywhere. This is very much a preparatory school for the work force. I sometimes feel like they want us to hurry up and get a degree in order to join the working population. I have not enjoyed my time here, and know several other girls who have not as well. I am transferring out after this year. The school also projects themselves as environmentally friendly, but they are far from it. There are recycling bins: but in obscure places where no one uses them. In my dorm room, the recycling bins are on the first floor, and most girls are too lazy to recycle. Simmons just spent money to build a management building that most undergraduates never use, expect for maybe one class. Maybe. And that is where all the "green" technology is being used. They didn't bother to spend any of that money to try and make other aspects of the school green. They have a garden on the roof of the Management building, but it's with flowers. no vegetables or anything useful. I was disappointed because I thought that I was going to a school that was striving forward into the green age, but I have not seen anything that would prove it. I have found the girls to be self centered and have not graduated from the 5th grade. All I have to say about them. Overall, I have been disappointed in my experience here. I would dissuade anyone from considering this school. Consider somewhere else, not worth the money I've paid for it. If you want to be in the Boston area, look for somewhere else.
