SVSU sucks! The campus is shitty, small and boring. There is almost nothing to do around here because you're stuck out in the middle of a corn field. The closest city is Saginaw, which is a dump is filled with crime and closed stores. The students here are very unfriendly and not approachable. Not, to mention that everyone here acts like they are in high school still. It should be named Saginaw Valley State High School. I came here expecting to have new friends and good relationships with people like I did in high school and almost no one is willing to go and meet new people. I find most students here are lazy and unmotivated. The first year suites suck and are in horrable condition. SVSU's best strength is supposed to be their dorms, but I got stuck in the shithole because housing here is randomly assigned. The staff and RA's here are pretty cool, but minus that everything else sucks. Also, most of the students from here are from up north and are jelous and won't be your friend if your parents make over $120,000 a year just because they are poor. There are almost no students from the metro detroit area and that's because they are smart and know that a real school located in East Lansing- you may have heard of it, Michigan State University knows how to run things. Saginaw Valley has no respect from metro detroit area students and shouldn't have because these people know better. I strongly advise all students not to attend Saginaw Valley State University.
