Major: Chemistry (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a secondary science education major at GSU. I must first say that i was expecting much more from this university in the way of academic difficulty and professionalism from the administration and faculty. The overall faculty which I had the pleasure of taking classes under were sub-par in their performance. I understand the university is a commuter one, but that does not give it the right to lower its educational standards. My physical chemistry courses (both semesters) have thus far caused me to forget what I have learned in past courses. I have not learned anything useful in either semester and I would not call myself a science major once I graduate, simply for the fear of meeting another science major and having to test my knowledge (or lack there of). The secondary education program is filled with naive and idealistic imbeciles who do not actually teach usefull information, but tell of how to place students into groups and have them lead the class. They do skim over legal issues, psychology, and other imperitive topics to prepare students to be effective teachers. There are just too many negatives to list.
