If you're looking for a school with tons of school spirit, plenty of academic choices, fun, friendly and welcoming people all wrapped into a beautiful campus, then K-State is a great choice. Manhattan is small and limited when you compare it to cities, but it's has everything you need, and if you look and try, there's plenty to do. It's a classic college town and comparing it to a city like KC or Wichita is like comparing apples to oranges anyway. K-State is very active and you can get involved very easily; I remember going to the Activities Carnival my Freshman year and looking at all the clubs and organizations to join. If someone complains about being bored, it really is their own fault. In my experience, the vast majority of the faculty have been friendly and supportive both in class and out. I have never been disappointed when searching for help. Just now beginning to search for jobs, I've found that the Alumni Association and Career and Employment Services to be extremely helpful. I never realized how well connected our Alumni are… it's definitely a perk! Go State!
