I'm attending MSU as a second-degree student, which I did not originally plan on doing, but I figured it would be good to do since I moved to MI with my fianc? who is attending MSU Law. I got in without a problem, but MSU denied my request to be considered an in-state student (originally from NY state). They denied me on a technicality, and when I asked what would happen if I were to repair that issue, the registrar made it clear that there would always be technicalities to deny me with. I have been denied any financial assistance, even though I have shown financial need. I love my program, but overall I refer to MSU as Money Sucking Uberdouches, because that's what they are. They discriminate against non-MI students, so if you're not from the state, don't go here and expect equal treatment, which is so totally contrary to the land grant university history that they enjoy touting so much. They will charge you 3x the tuition rate and refuse you ANY scholarships or grants. Just beware and don't buy their bullshit about helping out their needy students.
