Major: School of Information (This Major's Salary over time)
I may not have been able to get work in my field but that was my own doing(the professors encouraged learning other programming languages on your own time as it's a necessity in the field.) I always had a helpful adviser that could have fun, but so help you if you tried to give her crud. The dean of students was very friendly; she was the adviser for Coffee and Conversation(with discussion of current events that was good for jogging the brain and constructive arguments.)The DWC Gaming Guild(Board, Video, Console, Pen & Paper) was well funded BECAUSE it was the one organization that could get bunch of students on a weekly basis(I was an officer and we were advising the Student Activities Board professionals)Nashua doesn't have much in terms of a night life, but it's a safe city, with a grocery store(Market Basket) that's cheap five minutes from the school and a Hannafords within ten minutes.Housing is random first year, but second year on it's chosen by students( you get a priority number that's based on your GPA and total credits.) They have a set of yearly housing selections(1 for townhouses and suites, 1 for single rooms, 1 for double rooms.)Since I graduated though I've heard that ITT has taken over, and the corporate bull(staff is no longer allowed to interact with students like it used to) is causing an exodus of some of the Computer Science staff: if it's non CS I would say visit the school first and see the changes. All the staff were forced to sign contracts in that regards. ITT made a poor decision in not making an exception for that policy at this school(the reason I went their along with everyone else that stayed was faculty interaction.)The only issues you might have is if you went for aviation, but the grading is tougher on that because they don't want to pass people on as pilots that could endanger lives. Many of the washouts don't understand it's expensive to fuel and maintain planes, or that weather will effect the time it takes for the degree(they were very careful about safety with a good record.)If it wasn't for me hearing about the ITT takeover I would post this as positive, but hearing about it makes it dependant on your major with a campus visit.
