My unimportant background information: Before I start this whole thing, I just wanna let people know that I am not that academically motivated of a student. I'm the kind that doesn't give a sh** . If I find something in school that captures my attention, and interests me, I get into it, and that's what derives me to take more courses in that subject. That is why I chose chemistry BEFORE I transferred to this university.

OK, now let's start off by saying that I completed 2 years at a CC before coming here. I spent 2 semesters here. BY FAR, the 2 worst semesters of my life. It's like a high school, but with snotty spoiled kids who think they're smart, when they're really not. This is not a real university, but just a place where people go to who have no choice. Over half of the people I met said their parents made them go here ,because "their parents" thought this is a really good university. The truth is far from it as can be.

Now for the chem department: The professors suck, they just give busy work, and most students cheat through most courses. Labs are a piece of cake if you can suck up to the professors, or have old labs. Recitation is completely pointless, just there to lower your grade(I didn't learn anything from it whatsoever), you don't retain what you learn after the semester is over, professors don't like to even talk to students. Most hardly know the subject they are teaching, and are unqualified to teach. You don't really learn anything in lecture at all, because the professors just slowly repeat what's in the chapter summary, and do one practice problem really slowly to take up the whole period. Even the "best professor" in the science department is horrible. Any 12-year old can get an A or B in the classes here, 61 percent is a B in some classes.

After my second semester here, I transferred out. Let those children remain in their fantasy world. That is not the real world out there, its fake and generic. Go to WSU/MSU/UMAA or even HFCC instead. Don't ever go here, even if it's your last choice, because you're gonna end up helpless. The school MAY be good for engineering/business majors, but not premed/dental/pharm, or bio/chem students.
