Reading the review before mine made me have to write a review. Social life ANYWHERE is "kinda" what you make of it. Still, you can't argue against the fact that stony brook is a commuter school and has dead weekends. That alone is enough to drive most residential students crazy.But then you also have a huge amount of diversity which sounds cool until you realize that the campus is so self-segregated that it just makes it harder to meet people outside of your group. Add that to a huge lack of parties on campus and a really boring student body.Luckily I'm transferring out. I've never been so happy to leave a place in my life
