Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
As is the case with any university, it should always be taken into consideration that each department has its strengths and weaknesses. So obviously check out the specific department you are interested in before you attend any school. However as I changed my major several times I was actually exposed to three different departments, and found all three to be very competitive in comparison to the education my friends were receiving at other state institutions. I felt that the low student to faculty ratio allowed for individualized attention, and the fact that morehead is more of a teaching university than a research facility produced professors who were more concerned about the students than their next publication. I attended 3 other state institutions in the summers between my years at Morehead, and was taught by GA's instead of professors at all 3. The only gripe I would have against Morehead, is that due to its small size the course offerings can be limited from semester to semester.
