I'm pretty sure that person didn't mean to walk on ice… so why don't you stop being judgmental and rude to someone who was trying to point out a negliegence on JU's part? yes they should make sure there isn't ice on campus. If that person got hurt they could've sued |
All I'm saying is that the entire walkway was NOT covered in ice, she could have (and should have) gone around it like the rest of the student body on dorm side. Walking across ice is just flat out stupid and going out of your way to step on it is even worse. Try being more diligent about where you walk next time. Around 8:00, when the staff is supposed to arrive, the grounds crew went and covered the ice with sand so that it would melt. JU was not negligent, they simply weren't at work at that hour. |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
Okay, well.. I'm not going to be a Negative Nancy like the rest of the obviously non-social hermit crabs, but I am going to tell you how it is.JU's programs aren't very rigorous. You'd probably learn more and get a better education at a public school for MUCH cheaper. However, if you have a butt ton of scholarships, can afford to pay the difference, don't mind being $100k in debt, etc.. It's a good, fun place to go. It ISN'T a huge university like I assume most of these disappointed people wanted. If you want a big party school that hundreds of people attend, you're out of luck here. It's a small school, what do you expect? You knew that before you came here.If you get involved and get to know people, you'll definitely make the most of your time here. People don't just roam around campus shouting, Hence why a previous commenter said that you couldn't walk around campus and find people advertising their parties. You're ridiculous, whoever you are. Knowing people (which at JU is almost impossible NOT to) is the way to get invites. SOHO and Rain are just down the road. They aren't the best, most happening places.. But they're just good, drunken fun.Just throwing this out there, Greek life is amazing here. Everybody knows everybody, cares and recognizes you passing by on campus. There's no bitter rivalries between the sororities. The fraternities.. Well, that's their thing. Anyways, there are about 40 people in each of the Greek bodies. SPOILER ALERT: there are no houses. Sorry about your luck if you were counting on that. The food? Well, food sucks EVERYWHERE you go. Direct me to a cafe that serves amazing food on a regular basis and I will admit defeat. Please, humor me.As for the valley? It flooded a whopping ONE TIME. And for that nursing major who slipped on the ice and is now bitching about it, DON'T WALK ON ICE. Dumbass. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but you get used to it. It's not the end of your world. You probably need the exercise anyways.I'm not returning, simply because of finances. If I could, I certainly would. Oh, it's in DIRTY DUVAL. Shut up about the location.
