Baylor is the best private university (academia only) Texas has to offer. It is a Baptist funded and owned school so don't expect a huge party scene. The classes were rigorous but not overburdening. It is a world class campus and anyone should expect a tough class. Most students are friendly with the occasional arrogant spoiled rich kid, but so does every pricey private school. All in all best education you can get in the Lone Star State.
