Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
I'm majoring in actuarial science and mathematics and some of the classes I have to take for my major are terrible. They choose to teach mathematical statistics out of possible the worse book they could choose from. The book provides unclear explanations and typos. It's as if the author expects us to know everything. Usually a poorly written textbook can be offset by a good professor but some of the professors are also incompetent. I think one of my professors doesn't know how bad he is that his classes are curved so much that it's impossible to fail. Trust me I've had him three times already. If you want passing grades come here but if you want to learn the material where you'll have to use it in your career go somewhere else. In a nutshell, Albany is more of a party school and the education is what you pay for.
