Coming to SDSU from the midwest I was extremely excited. Everybody has their own opinions about colleges but ill tell you my HONEST pros and cons

pros

1.BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS. the campus is gorgeous. there are gardens and trees and many of the buildings are pretty new. I mean our campus was used in the first Bring It On movie! The gym is extremely nice too. amazing campus.

2. AMAZING WEATHER. Its san diego obviously the weather is amazing. Beaches are extremely close too. The campus is exit 10 and the beaches are exit 1.

3. SAN DIEGO IS AMAZING. There is always something to do. San Diego has beaches and amazing shopping (Fashion valley) Downtown has great restaurants and great clubs.

cons

1. STRICT! The police here are strict and they patrol like crazy! I know so many people that have gotten in trouble already and its only been the first month. The dorms are SO strict about alcohol and even more strict about just entering the dorm. To get in the dorm you have to show your ID every single time. You have to check in all of your guests and they have to leave their ID at the front desk. You cannot have the same person sleep over for more than two nights a month which is so annoying. basically promotes sleeping around. Its really annoying for me because if a friend wants to visit from out of state I have to ask a roommate to check them in for any other nights

2.GREEK LIFE. I love partying but I feel like sororities really arent for me. (Im a bio major and I feel like right now a sorority might be too much) If your not in a sorority theres nothing fun to do on campus. You can get into the frat parties if your a hot girl or know people though.

3. TAILGATING SUCK. Really not surprised since the football team is not anything special, but I feel like I'm really missing out on that experience. (Many of my friends go to Ohio State, UMich, and Indiana-huge football schools, which adds to why I feel like im missing out)

4.TOO MANY KIDS FOR CLASSES-AND MORE BEING ADDED. there are so many compacted majors and so many crashers in all the classes that students actually paying for and in the class cannot get a seat sometimes. Supposedly almost 1,000 more kids will be enrolled in the spring due to need of money. overall I like and dislike it. It definitely is not what i thought it would be. Too strict for a party school
