The school's mission and atmosphere is very focused - Christianity. If you're homeschooled, can't cut the apron strings, live at church, eat/sleep/breath the Bible (though probably don't actually read it), know all the right church words and actions (95% not scripturally based) then you're a perfect match to the majority of the student body. If you have real world experience, are an adult (able to take care of yourself, including thinking for yourself) this is not the school for you. Everyone is very friendly and kind, but closeminded. New opinions and other views are squashed as quickly as possible. FYI - you'll be required to attend chapel services 36 times in a semester, MWF, 10:50-11:30am. That equals to 288 added hours to your degree requirements. If you don't go to chapel enough times, you're put on academic probation; do it again, and you're thrown out. Each class is started with a devotion and prayer. At about $800/credit hour, those 5-10 minute devotions are costing you $66 - $133 a pop. Papers and/or projects relating the class to your walk with Christ are also requried in each class. Even nonpastoral degree programs require 4 biblical courses.

The academics, however, are outstanding. Professors have an open door policy, there's free tutoring from students who have passed the class previously with an A, and acess to computer labs M-F if there's not a class in them.
