Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
I only attended Fitchburg for a year, but there were many ups and downs to it. The surrounding city is downright sad. It's really unsafe, we heard about multiple stabbings, rapes, and many other 'violent acts' the first week on campus. My classes were meh. I was in a Bachelors of Science major when what I really wanted to be in was a Bachelors of Fine Arts. This could account for much of my dislike toward fsc. I found myself in terrible classes that didn't relate to me at all (even though I know all freshman have to take those, I knew there would be more for me because of the BS/BFA situation.) I think Fitchburg would be a much better place if they raised their standards academically. I was in honors and AP classes throughout high school, and chose FSC for financial reasons. Like someone else mentioned, there seems to be either that type of person, or the dumb partier who is lucky they got into college at all. I made a lot of friends who will be dearly missed, but ultimately transfer was right for me. If you're not a huge partier, there really is not much to do on campus, especially on weekends. They have little events like movie nights or make your own ice cream pretty often, but they're usually small, sad, and awkward or boring because the majority of the campus is out getting drunk instead. Overall its not a terrible place, but it's not the most magnificent place either. If you know your major is good here, and you make good friends, you'll have a great time. I
