Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
There are good and bad persepectives you can take on the school, but I'll be general:Good points: The beautiful campus, the adorable historic town across the street (and Blackfrairs!), personal classes and teachers can easily be used for maximum effect. I haven't noticed any at all really of the drama-drama chitchat that has been mentioned previously. Bad points: expected historical town prices, strange closing hours, much hills, mildly dreary dorms, food that suspiciously decline in quality during non-presentation days, food that changes regularly and sort of strangely, most clubs are disorganized and random—unless a competent student steps it up. Awkward attempts at socialization with other schools are mandatory for freshman peg students, at least. A great final exam system. Nice library for research. You keep in shape. There are many bis/lesbians, which is fine, but noted. The three groups of PEGs (the younger ones/such as me), Trads (traditional students,) and VWIL (military-esque), present some difficulty is reaching through to make friends, but the big sister/little sister program is helpful. The no-boys policy in dorms is a little aggravating at first, but then again, there are many reasons it's a better thing afterall. Shenandoah Valley is very pretty, but expect occasionally broken heaters/air conditioners unless you live in one of the better dorms. You're very cold in winter (unless you hang out in a lounge.) For future PEGs: the extra surveillance is a little maddening, but you can move out of the dorm once you are 16. It's hard to tell ages 15-19 apart, actually, which is a help.On a personal note: from my dorm, the PE building is inconveniently located on the other side of campus (a 15 min walk/jog.) But the college doesn't seem it is for me, and I'm seriously considering transferring out to maybe a livelier school.
