What a great school at a great value! My decision to go to UI was one of the best decisions of my life. The education in the College of Natural Resources was great with tons of hands on experience. Professors are great and want to see you succeed.

UI also values student life. There is lots to do. The Rec Center, for example, is state of the art and was a place where I ended up spending tons of time.

If you love the outdoors, this is the place for you. There is some of the best hunting and fishing in North America at your doorstep. Idaho is also known as the whitewater state and the campus Rec Center and Northwest River Supply (located in Moscow) supply equipment at some of the lowest prices I have ever seen. Fall = Hunting and Fishing, Winter = Skiing (I-90 or McCall), and Spring = Whitewater. For the weekends I spent in town, there was always a party or bar band to see.

Attending UI allowed me to succeed academically, have a great time, and walk out of graduation with ZERO debt. In a super competitive job market this allowed me to persue an advanced degree later on with less financial stress. I only wish I was doing it at UI.

One downside: Winters vary from year to year and summer comes late. I had two very mild winters while I was there, but also two brutal ones as well. Need to be able to handle a little snow and cold.
