Major: Archaeology (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a sophomore here, and I seriously regret not being quick enough to figure out the school and get out while I still could. I'm going to be in debt way over my head for a sub-par education that has no respect in the academic community (not just in my history-related major, but every one—Brown has notoriously never accepted a single Salve student to its grad program, even with perfect GPA/GRE, because they know how it really is).

I used to actually defend Salve whenever one of the (abundant) trust-fund babies whined that there was nothing to do: school isn't just about partying, you need to be a self-starter and this is the real world, nobody's going to hold your hand and coordinate "fun time" for you. Now I realize after years of effort that you can't exactly be a self-starter if there's no opportunity in the first place.

The school tricks students with it's beautiful campus and touristy fun—which they neglect to mention only exists in the summer, when you're not actually in school. The rest of the year it's freezing, rainy, windy, and all the businesses are shut down until tourists come back. Most of the clubs and activities they advertise to new students haven't existed in years—a lot of students in 2009 were excited to try horseback riding…only to find out the team had disbanded over 10 years ago.

College is about trying new things (academically and socially), exploring, and really getting to LIVE—that's what you do when you're late teens/early 20s. Salve's total lack of anything like novel experiences means campus is a ghost town on the weekends while students check out and visit friends in other cities and campuses.

My roommate and her friend made a "Wall of Fame" on our dorm wall recording the most epic things she's done this year at Salve:

Leaving note and glow stick outside JD's door!

James running down the stairs suspiciously fast
Park in front of Chelsea's dorm blasting 'Can't be Tamed' while security drove by!

Claire trashed at the library—enough said!

Enough said? I agree.

responseSalve does not have an archeology major… no wonder you hated it. You are so clueless you do not even know the name of your major!

75% of the students are on financial aid, so I am not sure how you found only the few really rich kids.@
