Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
I love Baylor! I was torn between Baylor and TCU my senior year. I just couldn't figure out which one would have been best for me and my pursuit of a degree in English, and the costs of each school were very similar. I went with Baylor and am incredibly happy I did. My professors have been very helpful, always giving comments on my performance and trying to help me improve any problems I may have. Baylor professors are extremely available and ready to assist. I'm from an area about the same size as Waco, and I really enjoy the city. It has everything I really need, but it doesn't hurt that it has Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio all within very easy driving distance! From what I've seen, Baylor's facilities are very nice. I won't act like I love dorm life, but for what it is, Baylor offers very residence halls that it's hard to complain about. I also really like the dining halls - just not Penland. There is a TON of variety, and it's so easy to find foods you like. (I recommend the wheat sourdough anytime you go to the deli!) I'm not a big socialite, so Greek life wasn't really for me. Most everyone I know of who rushed really likes it though. There is some enmity between different sororities/fraternities, though. I think sometimes the Greeks get a little petty, but maybe that's just because sororities aren't my thing. Everyone I know who's Greek loves it. All in all, Baylor is an awesome school for any high school seniors wondering where to go. I'm so excited about what's in store for me as I continue my education here!
