This campus is a women's campus but has absolutely no regard for the safety of its students. If you are attacked or being stalked or feel your safety is in danger, you are on your own.Campus security is used for writing parking tickets 24/7. They have discontinued their RAD program. The campus senate won't even allocate money to help the women's self defense program. But they will happily pay thousands of dollars to provide massages and getting their nails done for the student body. They will pay money to send a few students to special off campus programs. Programs that are for the unique and privileged few. It truly is sad. You can contact security and campus housing about girls allowing young men to stay as overnight on a regular basis and they won't do anything about it. They spend their time trying to find out who the reporters are instead. It is a campus that allows underage drinking too. The profs of my major do a good job, but the extra classes we have to take leave something to be desired. There are profs here that believe no one, no matter how hard you work, ever deserves an A. It causes heavy damage to a much needed GPA. Housing is interesting for the underclassman too. No air conditioning, if you like pasta you will like the food service they don't serve much else, and laundry is an experience all of its own. My friend complained about her roommate having her boyfriend over nights and the RA told her to find somewhere else to sleep those nights. Its expensive tuition here at this school, but having St. Johns University being paired with St Bens is a huge asset when trying to get a job. If you can make it through in 4 years, the employment opportunities are there for you.
