I am currently a freshman at salve regina and am already looking into transferring. I came on this site to read reviews and am so happy others feel the same way as me. Like others have said, don't let the beautiful campus and surrounding area fool you. The school is full of close minded students who basically all came from private schools and feel so entitled. It is very cliquey. The athletes walk around the school like they own the place. It is hard to make friends if you are not on a sports team. There is almost no partying. The r.a.'s are VERY strict about drinking in the dorm rooms and since you cannot have loud music after 9pm (quiet hours) dorm parties get busted. If you are into partying, this is probably not the place for you.The academics are ok. I personally do not feel challenged at all. I feel as if it is an extension of high school, aside from the increase in homework. Most of my teachers just lecture for 50 minutes and present power points. I made the wrong choice.
