Great school for commuters because of location and many professors are understanding the needs of commuter students. You can get a lot out of your education here if you try. The Japanese professor is amazing, Southern really should expand the program.Place is dead during the weekends though and too many people are absorbed into just going and getting plastered on Thursday night. There is a monopoly with the on campus food company Chartwells. They have bad food, that is expensive and the staff are all like ex-inmates that are usually HORRIBLE to deal with.If you plan on becoming involved in any kind of club or organization forget it if its not one of the ones student life favors. That entire department needs to be fired and re-created. Small clubs find it HELL to get anything done if its not planned months in advance. And chances are they'll lose your paperwork anyways.
