While I did attend to choose another university I would not trade my time I spent there for anything. Coming from a larger town like Omaha, Ames was WAY too small for me. Omaha is not even a large city and Ames made me feel like I was living in a town as large as my neighborhood. The one positive is that the University of Iowa is right down the road so if you ever start to get bored of Ames you can always take a weekend trip to Iowa City and have the time of your life. The one positive of the city size is that it is easier to stay focused on school. On the school side of things, this ISU has a beautiful campus that is very easy to navigate. Unilike some schools you don't have to drive around town to get to different buildings. Its all located within one beautiful plot of land. I can't say my schooling was super impressive but I also graduated with a B.S. in Finance. How exciting can that really be ;) On this serious side they have never been a standout in the business field and I have been in some of there engineering classes and that area of the college is very impressive. If I had it to do over the school is a top tier program in my opinion.
