Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
I attended FSU on a full scholarship. I was grateful to receive a BA for free, but I would much rather have gone to another university. I lived in Fayetteville before attending the University and I lived on campus all four years. There was a lot of violence and illegal acitivity that occured on and off the campus. It is located in possibly the worst area in Fayetteville. I found the instructors in my department to be particularly helpful and interested in me and my education, but that is the only positive thing I can say for the university. The courses are not difficult and not overly challening and can be ver boring at times, the university is too small for the amount of majors and programs it has (it is almost impossible to graduate on time because most classes are offered only once a year), the students are very unapproachable and not of the highest standard ("ghetto-fabulous" is the word I am searching for), the aesthetics leave something to be wanted, the Chancellor was very full of himself and more interested in international students than anyone else, and the student resources are almost non-existant. My advice is if you are going to pay to go to school here, save your money and run to another school right away!
