Do NOT come here if you want to have an active social life. There is absolutely nothing to do on campus because of how isolated the university is from the city. Contrary to what the University says, the University is not in Saint Louis. It's on the outskirts of the city in a crappy neighborhood. Fraternities suck, there are no houses and a good night involves going to the same crappy bar, Lacledes, EVERY night. Also, because of the small amount of members initiated you will have to hang out with the same 10 people all 4 years.Slim pickings for male students here, there is a very limited selection of attractive women to choose from. Typical girl here thinks that just because they're in a sorority, they are attractive. When in reality they are just stuck up.Academics are great however, all professors were extremely accessible and able to answer whatever questions I had through email. If I wanted to just focus on academics, I would not think about transferring. However, if you are looking for a good balance between social life and academics, Saint Louis is not a good option. I want more of a social life and traditional college campus and will be transferring after the spring semester.
