Everyone at fsu goes home on the weekends. Starting at 10am on Friday there is already cars lined up outside of towers waiting to bring students home for the weekend. Living in an fsu dorm is like living in a jail!! 24 hours a day you have to get your id checked before you can go into your dorm witch becomes annoying when a class gets out and you have to wait in a long line just to go to your dorm. Most colleges check student ids at night for ex the school I transferred to has a security sticker and its color coded to the dorm you live in starting at 8 pm all you have to do is walk by and hold up your id no lines at all. Also the RAs take there jobs way too seriously. You can get in trouble for having your TV on at 9pm on a low volume or for talking using indoor voices. Fsu RAs do bathroom checks every hour I don?t know what they think there going to find but that?s just how the school is. Fsu Is a dry campus I felt like I was living at a boarding school rather then college. Most of fsu classes are 1hour and 50min long I was told it is because you only have to take four classes and that most colleges take five classes that is why they are longer. Well the school I transferred to you only need to take four classes as well but the longest class is only 1hour and 15min witch makes it much easier to pay attention during class. The general population of students had no school spirit and didn?t like the school. Signing up for classes is so stressful at fsu it is hard to get the classes you need and most likely you won?t be able to. There is only one main dining hall witch becomes overly crowed its so hard to find a seat and lets just say that your high schools food probability tasted better then the food at fsu.Before you decide if this school is for you ask your family or friends if they knew anyone who went here because most of the people I have talked to had similar experiences to me. Although this school might be right for some people it just wasn?t for me. The best decision I made was to transfer out I love my new college so much.
