I came to AiFL for a degree in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics. When my family and I first visited the dorms, they played it off as they were pretty decent and only showed us the display room. The same goes for the college. When I got there though, there was a several bad qualities that had appeared over time.

The dorms you usually start off in (I'm not sure how the other dorms are that were said to be for upperclass students) are in bad shape. Not only is the room very small, but the staff want you to constantly keep the AC on, which only turns on at about 60 and below. If you don't, the walls and floors will sweat and eventually soak the entire room. Mold will also form in the room and bathroom if you don't. It's also hard to meet people there, for most usually stay inside their dorms. There are activities for about only the first week of each quarter, and not many people go to those. At night, there are those who tend to be loud and blast music and the RAs have yet to do anything about it. They also gave you a survey to match you up with a roommate, but the original roommate was very different then me. Turns out they didn't even try matching our qualities or interests up, for her name came right before mine in alphabetical order.

The school isn't as bad though. This is my only quarter here, but I've noticed some of the teachers are good at their jobs while others are way to laid back. The supply kit they urge you to get is definitely not needed though. In mine were a bunch of large sketch books. Everything I needed for my classes I had to go out and buy.

Though I don't plan on staying due to the housing situation (which for it's quality is a bit over priced), I do think the actual education here is good. IIf you plan on going her though, I recommend getting an apartment nearby though instead of living in the dorms.
