This may be a good school if you are a perfectly normal, extremely party-loving, pre-med student. I don't know about that particular department. However, in my experience at Juniata, nothing seems as advertised. Their pool, dining areas, and other facilities are often closed or inaccessible when needed. The exercise room is open, but not in the mornings. It can be hard to find available equipment sometimes.

The professors, with a some nicer exceptions, are unhelpful and may grade students down in papers if they dislike you. When asked, administration will find some way to say it is within their rights. After hunting around, I was able to find one decent advisor. However, their two-advisor system doesn't really work. Mostly, these advisors ignore their advisees and will sign what they need to, but not put much work in. My one advisor that I switched to was probably one of this school's saving graces.

Also, NO ONE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY SHOULD GO HERE. Unless it is a very specifically listed recommendation, you won't get any assistance, and professors can do what they want. This includes saying that you don't really have a disability, are rude and lazy, and ignoring requests for accommodations that will allow you to participate in class discussions. Though the academic support service people are at least nice. Beware though -they may just suggest that if you have problems, you may not be capable of going to college.
