How on earth do you even know for an irrefutable fact that coming to BJU was God's will for you? I mean, I get it, you're a Christian and all and that's what you believe. But I consider myself a Christian too. That bit about "a submissive heart to authority" actually frightens me. That does NOT sound like an attitude that will contribute to the continuance of a free and open-minded society. Simply bowing down and doing as you are told is a VERY old-fashioned and out-of-date form of learning, and one that few believe in anymore. Unsurprisingly, Bob Jones University believes in it completely. My research on them has included numerous visits and explorations of their own website, and reading the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 BJU Student Handbooks. "Shut up and do as you're told" is very much an attitude they seem to have there, and that bothers me. That isn't how Americans act. Nor is it how members of ANY free society act. Not if they want to keep it that way. This honestly sounds like the review of someone who was brainwashed. Told again and again to do as they were told without question. To obey, obey, obey. Not to think. Because that's what Bob Jones University thinks we need, isn't it? Less thinkers, more blindly-obeying good little soldiers. I am genuinely saddened by this review. I hope you remember how to think for yourself one day. THAT, I believe, is truly God's desire and will for each of us. Not shutting up, bowing down, and doing what a fake college called Bob Jones University orders us to do.But that's nice if it worked out well for you. I just doubt if it really did. Sounds like that's just what they convinced you of. |

Major: Religion/Religious (This Major's Salary over time)
Coming to Bob Jones U. was God's will for me. I learned many valuable lessons with a submissive heart to authority.A life dedicated to doing God's will and submissive to those He has put over me goes very well—not always easy, but well. These were some of the best years of my life.
