Major: Music Education (This Major's Salary over time)
I just recently graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. I was an out-of-state student majoring in Music Education. When leaving high school, I had a 4.0 GPA and I scored a 30 on my ACT. Therefore, I considered myself pretty smart. While I will admit that not all departments are created equal here, the department that I was in was outstanding. My music professors were very challenging yet they cared about me as a person and truly wanted to see me succeed. After graduating, I most definitely consider them all friends. Now for the education professors. Most of my professors there were very challenging. It is no unknown fact that the education department at Mount Vernon is outstanding. Now that I have graduated and started work at an elementary school, I have come to realize that I have been prepared for this type of job since year 1 at the Naz. I feel confident and ready to start my career. If you are planning to do anything with education, I would suggest going to Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
