Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
From a science standpoint, St. Thomas is a great school. There are many opportunities for undergraduate research that I feel are much more difficult to come by at larger research universities that are grad student based. The Biology department is also very well staffed and has some outstanding professors that care about your progress. As far as campus life goes, it is not as bad as many people say. It is located in St. Paul and there are a lot of small restaurants and bars within a few miles (might be a stretch to walk), and not everyone leaves on weekends. The people are generally very nice, and making friends was never an issue, but it can be annoying dealing with some of the trust fund kids. Overall, I had a very positive experience and I highly recommend St. Thomas.
